Rosemary has a creative soul, however it was not until recently that she began her quest as an entrepreneur in the beaded jewelry industry. Rose has always had a desire to create and design. She came across the outlet of creating beaded masterpieces a few years ago when she began studies in a jewelry design class offered in Troy, NY. This class peaked her interest in the field and sparked a designing flame within Rose’s heart.

Rose finds herself drawn to her studio whenever she has a free moment. As a wife and mother to three she has a very demanding schedule. She loves her busy life with her husband and children but when she can spare a moment it is her beaded designs that reap the benefits.

Rose also enjoys crafting and quilting. She is currently in the process of having a site designed to exhibit these creations. This site’s estimated date of launch is September 2009. If you are interested in viewing some of her other work at that time please visit her quilting site by clicking HERE.

Interview with Rosemary

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
place_holder I draw my inspiration from jewelry books and magazines, also from anything of nature or things seen in daily life that are of interest in shape or color, but mostly from just sitting quietly and starting a project, just letting

What is your favorite piece?
I think so far my favorite piece is the Sharkrah Necklace(shown on right). I ordered a kit to learn from. There are so many seed beads in it, and I think that there are so many variations that could be created with that type of necklace. I want to try to do some different ideas with it soon.

Where do you think you got your design sense from?
I think my design sense comes from where anyone gets their inspiration from and that is something bigger than us as human beings. It comes from our own creator.

Where do you see your business going?
I see my business starting to develop and grow to a point where that would be my sole business and not doing any other type of work, but being creative and artistic.

What are you plans for your quilting business?
My plans for my quilting business are taking shape. I am getting my studio set up and from there, I will begin to sew and create many different items. I want to do many things and come up with my own style and designs. It begins by doing and that is what is happening.

How long does it take you to create one piece from start to finish?
It varies on time to do a piece. It could take an hour to a day or longer. I come up with ideas as I go and then change things in the middle sometimes. If the design is all drawn up and I have all of the materials, though, it would probably take a few hours to finish a piece of jewelry, a quilt would take quite a bit longer, probably at least a week, unless it was a small wall piece, which would probably take a day or two.

This is wherean image of mom's favorite piece will be shown.

This beautifully hand crafted piece is one of Rose's favorites. She spent an estimated 55 hours from start to finish and paid particular attention to the looping detail created by the plethora of strands of seed beads. Rose chose to use bluish gray beads on black rope for an effect that could be showcased at a black tie event or worn with a t-shirt and jeans to add a little flare.
